November 9, 2009 by Jason.
Today has been quiet. Juliana has sustained her blood pressure well, averaging between 45-50. This is a little higher than her gestational age would warrant, but is within acceptable range. She has been off of her dopamine since last night at 9PM so she is sustaining it on her own. We are hoping she can keep it up so they can begin gavage feedings soon, the next big event we are looking forward to. She will be getting some blood products this afternoon. She is still on fentanyl and a 4-hour schedule of Ativan, both to keep her quiet and sedated. She likes to kick and move around a little too much which can cause her saturation levels to drop. Her oscillator has been weaned, though I don’t have the exact numbers in memory. Overall, it has been a really boring day, just the way we like it.
